Asset Management: Setting of dedicated sub-funds

New Millennium offers to Institutional Clients the opportunity to expand their product range setting under its Umbrella fund “dedicated sub-funds” with customized objectives, investment policies, investment limits, benchmarks and fees.
This method, alternative with respect to the setup of a new SICAV, has the advantage of reducing both setting timescales and the incidence of the administrative costs which in many cases are not justifiable from an economic point of view.
Furthermore the dedicated sub-funds allow the Client, both during the launching both in the ongoing phases, to focus on strategic aspects of the project: Asset Management and sub-fund raising activities.
In such cases, Banca Finnat Group – and in particular Natam Man.Co. - will take steps to setup a dedicated sub-fund and follow the entire authorization process taking care of both the Luxembourg and Italian authorities (for the marketing of shares in Italy) and later they will manage important additional aspects: operational, administrative, control and compliance, etc.
The only task for the Institutional Client is to define the risk-return features of the sub-fund and agree the required elements for “customising” it (sub-fund name, investment policy, benchmark, commission).
The launch of a dedicated sub-fund in New Millennium SICAV, moreover, also provides access to an important distribution platform thanks to the many distribution agreements already in force with the most relevant distribution networks in Italy in additional to the possibility of listing on the Italian Stock Exchange – ATFund segment.

The setup of a dedicated sub-fund may be convenient for several reasons:
  • to expand the range of products of institutional clients that wish to propose an asset management product to their retail customers with specific features (and with the possibility to play the role of investment manager or advisor).
  • to simplify the accounting of the portfolio for those institutions that have considerable assets to manage (Foundations, Welfare Funds, Insurance companies). In many cases, they prefer the SICAV’s sub-funds vehicle to Individual Management Account for administrative and accounting reasons, without any prejudice for the investment management and the composition of portfolio.
  • to access to a distribution platform, both for retail and institutional clients, that can be considered one of the most extremely broad and widely-established network in Italy.
